“ We recently tried Carmelo’s and will definitely be going back. Four a group of four we started with the mozzarella appetizer and the meatball appetizer. The focaccia that comes with the mozzarella appetizer was incredible and had such a great flavor. I got the garlic soup and loved it. It was so good I forgot to take a picture because it was gone quickly. Two of the four of our group ordered the Alfredo, one ordered the oxtail ragu, and one ordered the lasagna. All four of us loved what we chose. This is more authentic Italian so the Alfredo was richer and more flavorful that an Americanized Alfredo and the lasagna was a lighter dish than something that’s heavily stuffed with ricotta and meat sauce. Their wine selection was multiple pages and I got two glasses of red, different options, and enjoyed both. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful. The only complaint I have, and it’s about Covington as a whole, would be the parking situation. I’m not a fan of parking in Covington. 10/10 recommend Carmelo’s all things considered! ”

“ My boyfriend and I had a wonderful dinner. We started with the pulled mozzarella and both of our dishes were amazing. Mostly the service was the absolute best experience. I believe her name was Kirsten, she was very helpful with our selection of wine. She was very knowledgeable about the local ingredients utilized in the meals. ”

“ My boyfriend and I came here for our Valentine's Day celebration I thought the silverware was so pretty, I took a picture of them lol Tempest was our server and they were so professional and knew exactly what they were doing. Such a wonderful service. Thanks, Tempest We got the Meatballs as our appetizer. It was very delicious and was a perfect 1 meatball each split for us. The sauce was especially great. My boyfriend decided to get their 101-Layered Lasagna, which was a very impressive sight and was so good. He also got the Spagett as his drink, and he very much enjoyed that, too. I got the Mushroom Marsala, and it was exactly what I was craving. I also love mushrooms. Tempest suggested the dish, and I'm so glad I got it. I even had leftovers for my lunch at work the next day! They also suggested the fococcia bread with the Lasagna to mop up the sauce, which was great addition We got the Tiramisu for dessert, which was good. A little too coffee forward for me, but still nice. I thought the touch of rustic whimsy at the end by putting our check in a vintage can was very cute. I'm definitely looking forward to coming again and trying something new ”

“ My boyfriend came home from military training and we decided to spend the evening at Carmelo’s! Not only was the food amazing, but our server, Christine absolutely knocked it out of the park with her knowledge of wine and the menu offerings. We ordered so much food! The caesar salad was amazing, but our favorite was the chicken! It is so good. We will definitely be coming back. This place was amazing! ”

“ After seeing so many wonderful reviews we had to try Carmelo's. They did not disappoint!! Arrived 15 mins early so we went to the bar and ordered drinks. Both bartenders were very friendly and answered all of our questions. As soon as we paid for the drinks, they told us our table was ready so we were seated. The waitress was very upset that we already had drinks and she let us know. Ordered the calamari, it had a very light breading, which is rare, and some of the best we've had (top 3 out of all of the places we have ordered calamari). Mozzerla with focaccia bread was absolutely divine. Spaghetti and meatballs were very good (note that their spaghetti sauce has no sweetness, but it is very good). A lot of people seem to like the sweet spaghetti sauces. Also had the Crisp Garlic Alfredo - wowza!!!! One of the best Alfredo dishes we've ever had that did not include a protein. It was very evident they used fresh garlic and the Alfredo was perfect. Dipped what was left of focaccia bread in the garlic sauce and wow!!! Delicious. We didn't have any dessert, by this time we were stuffed but it was all so delicious we had to eat every bite. We will definitely be back in the future. ”
